The Zoetic Tour Part Two May 2016

This was the second half of the Zoetic Tour. It felt crazy because it was only around two weeks long. The crazy part is that it was the shortest tour I've ever been on and so when we left, we were already almost home. It was a great end to the tour starting in Las Vegas and ending with an amazing last show in San Francisco.

Managed to take portraits of everyone on The Zoetic Tour. I shot them the same way I shot the portraits on the previous tour, you can see those here. There was only two bands on this tour, The Rocket Summer and Farro, but I still managed to get quite a few portraits. I'm really happy with how these ones came out and it reminds me of how awesome all of these dudes were.

The Zoetic Tour Part One Mar-Apr 2016

The first half of The Zoetic Tour was the first time touring with a new band and it was a great experience. Doing photo and video on this entire tour was so incredibly hectic but I learned a lot. Bryce and the entire crew are all great people and some of my favorite times were in the RV while on some all day drives. Farro Was on this half of the tour so there are some photos of them in here as well. I'll post the tour portrait and the part two blog soon after this one.

Let The Kids Riot Tour Oct-Dec 2015

Halloween | Texas

Halloween | Texas

The Let The Kids Riot Tour was so much fun to be on. With a lot more experience on the road after Warped, this was so much easier. We also all made a lot of friends and had some great times. After the tour ended in NJ, we played shows on the way home. Thanksgiving in PA, seeing Star Wars opening night in NM, and ending with a sold out home show, it was a great tour.

Let The Kids Riot Tour Portraits

I decided to take some portraits of everyone on the tour at the last show. For as DIY as they are, they didn't come out half bad. All I used was a Canon 430ex II, Canon 5d mark III, and 24-70mm f2.8. That isn't a bad set up but It definitely isn't as cool as what some other photographers do for tour portraits. The goal is always to improve but for now, these are the tools I had. So I just set everyone up right next to the Young Rising Sons bus, which had some white on it, pointed my flash at the bus at an angle until I found one I liked. I got a portrait of every single person on the tour, including the beloved crew, but somehow I missed Matt from Night Riots. Oops, sorry dude <3.

Warped Film Photos 2015

I took a film camera on warped with two or three rolls of Kodak Portra 400. I loved how the colors came out and I've been really excited to post these for a while now. As I was saying in my previous blog, I made friends with a bunch of merch people. These people were all rad and really made the experience dope. Also, it has been almost a year so I'm sorry if I forgot anyones name.

Warped Tour 2015

Warped was an absolutely indescribable experience, but I'll try. It was interesting because I went with the mindset of a photographer but I was doing merch for the Night Riots guys so I met a lot of cool photographers but also a ton of cool merch people.  You seem mostly the same people every day because you try to set up near your bands stage. Since you are all in this crazy situation with everyone, you make friends pretty fast. I have a lot of Night Riots photos from Warped, but also other bands I got to see.

Night Riots Tour Feb-Mar 2015

This was the first tour I ever went on. I didn't realize how hard of a tour it was until I went on a few more tours. It was an amazing first experience though and I got to go across the country including going to SXSW. I also go to take some photos of some friends at South by So What!
